Before I get started into this blog post, I am not trying to put a bad image out there of Digital Point. I’m simply putting out a couple of views that I think a few of the members should know and plenty of current members of Digital Point think.

Well over the years there has been more and more noobs (newbies) participating in Digital Point. Nothing wrong with that at all, they want to participate in a community and learn more about programming, making money online and the rest. The thing that gets me the most is why some of the guests register and become a member for a couple of months and then thinking they run the place because they have a few hundred posts.

Whenever I see someone replied to my thread and they are trying to slag me or burn my thread, I always look at the “Join Date” and usually its members who have only recently became a member of the forum have tried to start something. Maybe its a ritual, I don’t know.

Most members who have been on the forum for at least max of 7 months respect members who have been at the forum for a couple of years and give constructive advice. Whereas the noobs of Digital Point try and be knowledgeable which just doesn’t work out, so they can hope to get more green reputation go and burn away the thread. Any wonder so many noobs get banned!

I just ask the Digital Point forum to tighten down on all these noobs, or do something to try and knock some sense into these new members who think they no everything about the webmaster world. It would make the forums even better than they already are, but noobs are bringing it down. We all know that.

Everyone on Earth has heard of the search engine, Google and most likely uses it as there homepage on their internet browser. To get a lot of traffic and exposure for your site, getting ranked on Google is a great thing and very easy, thats if you know what your doing.

Basically what this article will do is tell you the basic and simple ways of getting your site ready for Google.

As you read on down this article you might see some points that you’ve never heard of or don’t know what it means, so I will give a brief description and explanation of each point. Whenever done this article, go from point one to three and read over it again.

Maybe you will be number one next week on Google by reading this article, who knows.

1. Onpage SEO

Its not the most important thing, but its good to have your site filled with it. Basically onpage includes H1 titles, article rich keywords, internal linking, meta description tag, body text, use image and alt tags.

2. Register to Google Webmaster Tools

Theres plenty of useful tools in the Google Webmaster area, I find it very useful specially the SiteMap. You can get your pages onto Google quickly. Other useful tools are seeing where you rank on Google for and plenty other tools. Go visit Google Webmaster Tools.

3. Link Building & Link Baits

The more sites that link to your site the more higher you will rank for the keywords you want on Google. Simple as 1, 2, 3 just go do it. Link baits is similar to fishing, stick your articles onto Digg and it will get you indexed onto Google quickly with a nice back link.

If you would like to read another article about getting your site ranking higher on search engines I have wrote this interesting article: 30 Ways to make your blog better friends with search engines.

I’ve compiled a list of ways you can make money off your blog, nearly all of these ways are brilliant.

The only thing I dislike about some of these are they use Google Adsense and many people know I don’t like them, love the search engine though. Hopefully some of my suggestions might come in use for the beginners and the experienced bloggers.

1. Review Blog Posts

You can get paid very well for reviewing others websites on your blog. Only thing you might want to consider is having a high PR and if you don’t have that, then either an old blog or one with a lot of traffic.

Smorty

ReviewMe

PayU2Blog

SponsoredReviews

LoudLaunch

PayPerPost

BloggersReview

There is a few of the top services. On average you get paid $10 per review you make on your blog. I have made quite a bit before off these, but sometimes there isn’t any reviews.

2. Sell Blog Links

This is really just common sense, you can make at least $10 to $20 per link a month, but its down to how high PR you have got.

Text Link Ads

3. Use PPC Systems

There are so many PPC systems, but only a few actually goes down well with blogs. I’m only gonna name the five that look nice on blogs.

Google AdSense

Chitika

Fast Click

Bidvertiser

If you place these ads in the right positions and your blog makes a lot of traffic, then you have the chance to make some good money off your blog.

4. Affiliate Store

Once you have built a lot of content on your blog, only then you can start putting on affiliates. The reason for this is because content is what gets you traffic and you can’t compete with competitors with just products. Here is a few of my favorite affiliate companies that you can make decent money from, thats if you do it correctly.

Commission Junction

ClickBank

MoreNiche

5. Buy and Install Datafeedr Wordpress Plugin

This awesome script gives you the ability to add 1,000’s off products in a click. Lays it out on your blog as if it is a store and does all the work for you, just sit back and watch the money pile up. Thats if you play your cards right.

Datafeedr

6. FeedBurner Feed Ads

Implement Google Adsense in your blog’s feed, only do this if your blog gets a lot of traffic to its feed. Otherwise its just a waste of time and space.

I set up Opuix Media a couple of months ago to try and earn some cash on the side for future projects and to pump into my blogs. Turns out it really got popular especially around were I promoted it.

Now this is the question that everyone who was wondering how I managed to do this.

Where did you promote and how??

I’ve always been a member on some webmaster forums and keep a good reputation, is a must. I mostly promoted Opuix Media on Digital Point Forums basically in my signature, making threads about my service every 4 days, keep an eye on potential customers thread’s.

There is really no need to ask how you do it, you just put your head down and promote. Easy as 1, 2, 3 it just takes time and if your willing to make money then well then you will get there.

So enough, I made little over $700 and to prove it there is a picture below of my PayPal account afterwards. The reason I’m not showing you my e-mail is because someone could very easily hack it, I really don’t want that. For my own privacy I am not showing my account status. Other than that you can see everything else.

Only lately I have actually made a CJ account and took the time to read a lot about affiliate marketing. From what I see so far, my sites are perfect for having affiliates on and all is going great so far.

I’ve got affiliate products upon Global Surfing and soon on Shirts and Ties. These two blogs are becoming really popular these days and I’m really psyched to see them grow so fast, just would love to see them make even more money off them.

Really what I’m going to try and aim is to get loads of products onto my blogs that are related to the niche. I’ve already got a few products on Global Surfing, but if I really want to make more commissions I want to really add more so this is where my brother David comes in.

Thankfully he has a script which basically pulls products from the feed of the advertiser onto my site (the publisher). Only thing is that I have to hire someone to install the script, which is getting on my nerves trying to find someone who is experienced in this kind of area.

Once I get the affiliate feed installed, basically I will be getting over hundreds and hundreds of products pulled from the advertisers shop onto my site everyday. Which will be great for Global Surfing because it is ranking on Google at the minute for some crazy and useful keywords. Weirdly enough after I installed Google’s Sitemap I noticed Global Surfing’s traffic double, traffic from Google was pretty amazing and still is.

In this post I’m going to talk to you about how you can improve your blog, so its interesting and will make readers who visit your blog come back and visit it again. This is a very hard task because all readers want to see different things and to maintain this you have to keep all your readers happy.

The major problem people make whenever they start a new blog is they think of all the success they could make, but they forget the major thing and that is actually doing it. In order for you blog to be a success you need to have daily posts, interesting and useful at the sametime. This is quite a hard task to maintain each day for your blog to make any success on the internet.

Unfortunately as it is, there are over millions of blogs on the internet about different niches and you have to make your blog stand out. There are blogs that copy content which I hate and my readers of my blog should know by now that you shouldn’t copy content and try to make unique content rather than resulting to copying others posts.

Unique content updated everyday

Allow comments for readers

Linking with other related bloggers

Unique content updated every

Everyday you want to update your blog and make sure it is uniuqe content as well. Some people have the excuse awk well I don’t know what to post, but I will make a post tomorrow because I will think of something to say. No, think a day before what you are going to post about and write up a draft about what your going to write all about. Include photos/images in your posts to make your post look more attractive.

Allow comments for readers

I hate going to some blogs that you can’t comment, its good to let the readers of your post to share their own opinion on what you have written. Sometimes you can receive some constructive critism which will help you next time you go to post on your blog.

Linking with other related bloggers

Personally I think that people should have a small network with other related bloggers, so they can comment on each others blogs and help each. I have a couple of links to related bloggers and we always comment and help out each other with our blogs.

Hopefully this has gave you some ideas on how to keep your visitors happy whenever visiting your blog and I enjoy reading your comments.

Wether you are starting a new blog or fortifying your current blog. Having all these 30 tips is a major way to get higher rankings and staying there.

1. The beginning and the basics

Whenever you start a new blog, I love doing these things. They make the building of a blog more fun. If its for the new bloggers who haven’t experienced this before, sometimes it can be a bad experience, but its vital for your blogs success on the internet.

2. SEO friendly URL’s

The first and most basic is that you make your URL’s friendly. This means that it isn’t full of PHP code, search engines hates seeing this “http://www.url.com/jokes=?p/page1.php”, plus it looks ugly.

3. Valid code

Unfortunately search engines don’t look at websites the way we do, they only look at the code of the website, if you really want your site to be good friends with Google or another search engine get it xhtml valid. This won’t budge you up in the ranking’s at all though.

4. Domain name related to the niche

On the search ranks its an extra boost to have extra keywords in your domain name.

5. Keywords in your title

Its great to have your niches keywords in the title of your blog, its useful specially when trying to rank for these keywords.

6. Build links to your blog

There are many of ways you can build links to your blog, the only thing is stopping you is the effort of actually building them. Here are a few ways to build links.

7. Directory submissions

Submit your blogs to directories, it doesn’t make much of an effect at first. Though there are some directory submission services out there which work, sometimes.

8. Email related blogs

Most of the times other blogs or sites which is related to yours don’t give free links, but theres no harm giving a few sites an email, it doesn’t cost you anything.

9. Link bait

Make an article, free themes, an application or something that will attract people and will link to your blog. It has to be something interesting, they aren’t going to link to garbage!

10. Small linking can help

You can also add your blog to forum signatures, wherever you are an active user expose your blog there. I know I get a lot of traffic from Digital Point from just my blog in my signature.

11. Content on your blog

You can’t have a blog with no content, if you have loads of content on your blog Google will automatically love your site.

12. Unique content is the way

Search engines love unique content and plus nobody likes looking at articles that they might have already seen at another blog. Don’t copy cause you could also get yourself into a lot of trouble via Copyright.

13. Spelling and grammar

Double check or even triple check before you post a new entry to your blog. Its very unprofessional for your readers to look at and Google dislikes spelling mistakes and it has a nasty effect on the search engines.

14. Appearance of your blog

This isn’t for search engines, but its mainly for your readers and it still is vital for your blogs success.

15. Use a theme that isn’t too dramatic

By dramatic I mean, too many tables or too much colour. Some readers like loads of colours and some don’t. So keep it at an neutral colour.

16. Pop-ups and advertisements

Refrain from using advertisements and especially pop-ups, Google hates looking at the code of pop-ups ads. Plus your readers don’t want to be scrolling through a river of adverts to try and find your content.

17. Include images in your posts

To make your posts looking more intriguing and make it look interesting you can add an image but not too big.

18. Optimize your theme on Wordpress

For better results in the ranking you can use the following to make your blog even better.

19. Clean your code

Every so often check your themes code, try and make the header and footer clean as possible and visible to see links.

20. Some things you might not have done

Things that you might not have heard before or even thought to do for your blog.

21. Comment on other blogs

If Google spider sees a link on another blog it helps you rank, not because you got a backlink because most blogs have “nofollow”.

22. No,Index some pages

If you have pages that you wish that your readers should only see then edit your meta tag to No,Index.

23. Link within your blog

It helps to get your blog get more spidered, specially linking to other parts of your blog that Google’s spiders might have not visited yet.

24. Overuse keywords in content

In your content make certain keywords bold, at least 10 of your keywords you would like to rank in Google for.

25. Alts and Titles

Most thing people forget about in their blog, make sure you use alt’s in your blogs images and links outbound and inbound has titles with your keywords in them.

28. Other SEO tips for your blog

Other tips that don’t fit anywhere else that can help your blog on its verge to success on search engines.

28. Use tags to your advantage

Tags are basically an extra keywords to your post, only use keywords that are about the post you have made.

29. Make a SiteMap

Create a site map for your blog, it helps Google spider revisit and see your pages inside out.

29. Use H1 on titles

On your post or page titles use H1 rather than the default on most themes which is H2 or H3.

30. Link exchanging is a no

Don’t be link exchanging, its very bad for SEO, but you can make exceptions for your Blogroll. Do not use it within content.

31. Buying and selling links

Refrain from buying and especially selling links, if you get caught Google has a nasty punishment on the search engine.

I have recently got some friends into blogging and I am glad they are getting into the whole blogging community because you can update family and friends whilst make decent cash on the mighty internet. Everyone gets lost a stage and the place they get lost is when they make their blog and think how will I generate revenue and get visitors?

Everybody makes it out as if its hard which it really isn’t. Like I stated in the title of this blog post.. “Generating cash on new blogs is hard, or is it?“. I have listed to the right three sites (Bidvertiser, Chitika and Smorty) for you guys, unfortunately Blog Spot are tightening up and don’t allow either Bidvertiser or Chitika.

Alternatives are very low from Blog Spot, but you could move to sites such as Wordpress or Free Webs. If you are looking for a long term “money making” scheme then I advise you to get a proper domain e.g. www.myblogrocks.com.

The real secret to earning hardcore cash on blogs is positioning of your ads and the company you are using. You don’t need to have over 50,000 visitors per day to make $500, I’ve seen many makes $45 a day from just 1,250 visitors. You should have your site set out so a visitor will think your ads are actually apart of your site.

Chitika in my opinion is the best way for a blog to make easy money because they have photos of the actual ad which attracts users and generally click on the ads if interested. Another thing, don’t have ads that are irrelevant to your blogs content. Having a blog about dogs and ads coming up saying “Cats Diet” doesn’t make it any better. Try Chitika out and I guarantee you will earn more.

For some reason everyone thinks AdSense is immense, but to me it is crazy for newbie to make a blog and get over the $100 area to just get a cheque. Most of my readers are UK, so thats only £50 or so. I would rather aim to get over $10 if I just got my blog made instead of something crazy like $100!

The 3 ways of generating hardcore cash the real way are.

1. Unique and quality content. By this I mean you don’t copy articles from other sites, it drags your reputation down and plus it gets you nowhere in life copying!

2. Related ads to the niche of your blog. As I said there’s no point a visitor looking ads that has nothing to what he sees on the site.

3. Visitors that are interested in the topic of your site. No point having someone at your blog which might not know what your blog is about, which equals in loss of returning visitors.

Follow these keys and you will have victory in blogging. Try em’ out lads.
