Digital Point - Crammed with noobs

November 3rd, 2008 by Gareth | 7 Comments | Filed in General Internet

Before I get started into this blog post, I am not trying to put a bad image out there of Digital Point. I’m simply putting out a couple of views that I think a few of the members should know and plenty of current members of Digital Point think.

Well over the years there has been more and more noobs (newbies) participating in Digital Point. Nothing wrong with that at all, they want to participate in a community and learn more about programming, making money online and the rest. The thing that gets me the most is why some of the guests register and become a member for a couple of months and then thinking they run the place because they have a few hundred posts. (more…)

I set up Opuix Media a couple of months ago to try and earn some cash on the side for future projects and to pump into my blogs. Turns out it really got popular especially around were I promoted it.

Now this is the question that everyone who was wondering how I managed to do this.

Getting More Into Affiliate Marketing

August 18th, 2008 by Gareth | 2 Comments | Filed in General Internet

Only lately I have actually made a CJ account and took the time to read a lot about affiliate marketing. From what I see so far, my sites are perfect for having affiliates on and all is going great so far.

I’ve got affiliate products upon Global Surfing and soon on Shirts and Ties. These two blogs are becoming really popular these days and I’m really psyched to see them grow so fast, just would love to see them make even more money off them. (more…)

Its only a sneak photo so you won’t see much more likely.

Yahoo! making it three years in Beta

May 26th, 2008 by Gareth | No Comments | Filed in Business and Finance, General Internet

Its now added up to be three years and Yahoo! is still only available to USA. It said when they started the Beta that they would aim to get Yahoo Publisher worldwide. If they were to make it worldwide would they be able to compete with Google AdSense? Personally if they were to bring it to UK I would try it and see if it lives up to all the American’s say how good it is meant to be.

There’s still no sign of a break-through and releasing Yahoo! to the rest of the world, but for now we can’t really say that they are anywhere near releasing if its took over three years.

Will Digital Point ever get unpopular

May 25th, 2008 by Gareth | No Comments | Filed in Business and Finance, General Internet

Two years ago I had a conversation to my brother Andrew about webmaster forums and which one will be the next to go down. We agreed to each other that Shawn knew that sometime soon his forum would become unpopular just like any other webmaster forum. All I can say is that we were wrong. I have been a member on that forum for some quite time and I can say that I have seen an amazing gain of traffic and members.

Most of the newbies that start into the webmaster world wants to have a big forum, I tell them not to make a webmaster forum unless they have money to promote or else they have something unique about it that it will knock competitors like Digital Point, Site Point and other forums.

Welcome one and all!
