Loads of webmasters are working from home now and its obvious everyone finds it hard to work harder. I sometimes find it hard to work on something that I set to be done within days, so here is a few tips from me.
If you want to get your sites anywhere you might want to take some of these points into consideration, because it worked for me, so why couldn’t it work for you then. The last point is the most important, pay attention to it the most. (more…)
Yahoo! making it three years in Beta
May 26th, 2008 by Gareth | No Comments | Filed in Business and Finance, General InternetIts now added up to be three years and Yahoo! is still only available to USA. It said when they started the Beta that they would aim to get Yahoo Publisher worldwide. If they were to make it worldwide would they be able to compete with Google AdSense? Personally if they were to bring it to UK I would try it and see if it lives up to all the American’s say how good it is meant to be.
There’s still no sign of a break-through and releasing Yahoo! to the rest of the world, but for now we can’t really say that they are anywhere near releasing if its took over three years.
Will Digital Point ever get unpopular
May 25th, 2008 by Gareth | No Comments | Filed in Business and Finance, General InternetTwo years ago I had a conversation to my brother Andrew about webmaster forums and which one will be the next to go down. We agreed to each other that Shawn knew that sometime soon his forum would become unpopular just like any other webmaster forum. All I can say is that we were wrong. I have been a member on that forum for some quite time and I can say that I have seen an amazing gain of traffic and members.
Most of the newbies that start into the webmaster world wants to have a big forum, I tell them not to make a webmaster forum unless they have money to promote or else they have something unique about it that it will knock competitors like Digital Point, Site Point and other forums.
Promote your blog via MySpace
May 23rd, 2008 by Gareth | No Comments | Filed in BloggingEvery single webmaster wants to target their audience easily and for one thing MySpace is the easiest way to target large amounts of a certain topic. For example a TV show, you find the group, you post around the group with your links on it and easily enough people visit your site. At the end of the day if they don’t register to your product, at least you got extra visitors.
Ok, now your dead keen to get going and telling everyone in MySpace about your site, right? Well slow down there cowboy, your nowhere near ready to get going because you have to go through some vital steps of MySpace promoting. (more…)
Make money using Smorty
May 15th, 2008 by Gareth | No Comments | Filed in Blogging, Business and Finance
Everyone wants to make money, well as far as I know they do. This is how it went, once upon a day I was looking round the Digital Point forums and seen some threads about this company Smorty. I said to myself I must look at this, some people were making over $250 a week by just reviewing sites by using this site called Smorty.
Later on after looking more into it I decided to sign up and give it ago, so far its been good I have done 4 site reviews that are about $6.00 to $12.80 each. Those were done in one day and I have sent them off to be reviewed by the site owner, if I don’t get accepted I will be really cheesed off!
Really hope this turns out to be a profitable way to make money from blogging. I got some other sites I have signed up to, but this one looks a little more professional than the other ones I went too and plus it pays via PayPal. The others don’t. If you’d like to get paid to blog go to Smorty!
Welcome one and all!
